You came into this life-
An illuminating light
Something we all enjoyed
During your time so bright
You left us all to early
A void never to be filled
We laugh and share
Your tall stories still
In your three lads you live on
Raised by mum on her own
All married now, tall and proud
Bloody hell they can be loud
You went far to early
A life snuffed out and gone
Wherever you may be our kid
They’ll no doubt be a song
You would have been 72 today
So we’ll raise a glass of port and say
Happy birthday brother
Have a good day
