Stripping down the bed clothes

Into the washing machine

Wash and spin for hours

Until the beddings clean

Hang it on the line

Drying in the breeze

The smell of sun upon it

I’m very easily pleased

Spread carefully on the bed

Tucked in at the sides

Pillows once again are clothed

Stacked neatly at the head

Waiting for that moment

When it is time for bed

A fresh clean bed climbed into

Settle down to spend the night

Is the any better feeling

I don’t think there is –
