I don’t smile because I’m a woman

Or even because I’m a man

I smile because I’m alive

And just because I can

I can’t help it if all around

People walk around with frowns

I’ll smile at them all the same

Who knows their frown may turn

To a frown that’s upside down.

I smile at people that I know

I smile when I see my friends

I’ll smile at complete strangers

At women, children, men

It help to break down barriers

Which in life I fully recommend
