Honesty is not required
Dishonesty doesn’t matter
They’ll get by by having lied
To be a politician
It’ll never lead to disgrace
You just need to display
That you pretend to care
Whilst having a heart of clay

In order to stand the pace
You have to be deceitful
And simply be two faced
To be a politician
The one thing you won’t accept
While you’re scheming at the top
Is that it will always end in failure
It’s something you can’t stop
