The views, thoughts and opinions of an insignificant speck in the Universe đŸ˜€

The Eternal Sea

The rain falls down

Upon the sea

And then is gone

No memory

Nothing to be seen

As the sea absorbs

The drops of rain

From up above

To be as one

With the sea

Forever more

Not to be

And there are others

Who cannot be seen

Beneath the beating sea

Seaman and sailors

Who went to war

And there to remain

Eternal in watery majesty

The sea their kingdom

The sea their domain

Not for them

A place in earth

Laid out in rows

Marked by crosses

Row on row

The rain it falls

Upon the restless sea

Endless tears

For those who have

Eternal peace

Beneath

The eternal sea
