Modern Slavery – 2017

Sat in the sunshine

Watching

People at work

The work they do

They never shirk

It’s strenuous

And harduous

So much effort

For no reward

Modern slavery

Zero hours

It is the way

In modern times

The poor are slaves

Who work and strive

There only aim

Is to survive

Whilst the rich

Of their sweat

Sit back and gloat

As poor people die

The rich get richer

And continue to thrive
