What a difference a Week Makes
Last week I reported over 30 case of fly tipping in the Billing, Ecton Brook and Rectory Farm area of which by far the worst was a huge pile of rubbish that had been left on ground at the end of Pritchard Close in Rectory Farm.
The biggest problem was that it had clearly been dumped weeks earlier and was as all fly tipping is a real blight on the area and lives of the people who have to live with it on their doorstep.
On my weekly walk about at the weekend I unfortunately had to report over 30 more cases of fly tipping which, given that it was Sunday and followed the Borough Councils Saturday collection of rubbish in Rectory Farm and other areas of Billing, tells its own story.
What reporting fly tipping demonstrates is how, by listening to and working with the residents, an area can be improved.
It can only be done of course by actually doing the work on the ground and not remotely from Council Offices
